Patricia L. (Cooley) Dalager

Patricia Louise (Cooley) Dalager of Glenwood passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the Glacial Ridge Hospital.  A private service will be held at a later date with inurnment at the Lake Ann Cemetery, rural Pope County, MN.

Patricia Louise Cooley was born in Glenwood, MN August 27, 1936 to O.G. (Bud) and Evelyn (Thompson) Cooley.  She was raised on the family farm in Leven Township.  She attended school in Glenwood, graduating from Glenwood High School in 1954. She was employed at Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood, retiring in 1996.

Patricia was united in marriage to Richard Dalager on May 27, 1955 at the United Methodist Church in Glenwood.  They made their home in Glenwood, sharing 66 years of marriage.

Patricia had many interests and hobbies.  She spent time as a board member for the Pope County Agricultural Society, the Pope County Historical Society and the Glenwood Public Library.  She loved decorating and remodeling homes, gardening, raising Persian cats, quilting, collecting dolls and genealogy.

In 2003, she was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease, she moved to Glenwood Estates in 2012 and later to Parkview Court.  At the time of her death, she was a resident of the Glenwood Retirement Home.

She is survived by daughters: Beth (Jeff) Snider of Glenwood, MN and Jennifer Dalager of Indialantic, FL;  son-in-law, Bradley Nyhammer of Pine River, MN;  granddaughters, Annie (Dan) Johnson of Alexandria, MN and Emma (Eric Gerdes) Nyhammer of Lowry, MN;  grandson, Ty Nyhammer of Lowry, MN;  great grandchildren, Mari Jordahl, Blayne Jordahl, Cameron Gerdes and Scarlett Gerdes;  brothers, David (Deanna) Cooley of Glenwood, MN and Allen (Ivie) Cooley of Villard, MN; sister, Susan Cody of Nashville, IN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   

She was preceded in death by her husband on September 25, 2021, Richard Dalager; daughter, Jayne Nyhammer and granddaughter, Katie Snider.
